Camp Shoreline

Surrounded by a wildlife sanctuary, nestled beside a quaint lake, and led by an amazing staff of counselors, Camp Shoreline will give youths the ultimate summer experience. The junior camper will be introduced to a variety of aquatic and recreational activities. The mornings usually will be spent learning a skill related to one of several sports that may include kayaking, rowing, canoeing or pedalboating. Campers will then get the chance to spend time on the water putting to practice those skills. Additionally, concepts related to windsurfing and sailing will be touched upon at an introductory level. Afternoons may be spent playing games, making crafts, taking a sailboat ride, hiking, or learning about Shoreline Park, birdwatching in its wildlife sanctuary and exploring its natural history…maybe even a chance to visit the Rengstorff House. What more could an energetic child ask for? These activities are just a sampling of what’s in store for 5 to 11 year olds who join Camp Shoreline for a week of classic camp! Weekly curriculum and schedules may change based on camp activities and weather. It is a good idea to bring some additional money or snack to carry your camper throughout the day.

What To Bring

Students should be comfortable swimming and treading water. Students should bring comfortable clothes, a bathing suit, a jacket or fleece, a towel, lots of sun protection, a lanyard to secure their glasses around their heads, a bottle of water, and non-skid/non-marking shoes to wear while on the boats and boards (they will get WET - tennis shoes, aqua socks, or Teva sandals work great!).
